The next step for players who have completed a Learn to Play Hockey Program typically is our 8U Mite Development Program. This is designed all players not quite ready for competing on KPW 8U travel teams. Players will get going in October practices and then divided into balanced teams before games begin in late October.  These teams will have games in our in-house league on Saturday afternoons at Norfolk Arena, which also includes teams from surrounding programs.  All games are the USA Hockey recommended half sheet to promote "puck touches" at this age.   Many recall this program as their most enjoyable year(s) of youth hockey.  

Program features: 21+  half-ice games and 2 weekly practices from October-March; game jersey and socks. This is such a fun way to start your hockey journey!
