2019 - 2020 Girls In-House (2007-2013; no tryout required)

The KPW Girls In House program is intended for players born between 2006-2012 who have some skating experience from a learn to skate program and now are ready to transition to playing hockey. This program will follow the USA Hockey American Development Model and will prepare players for a competitive by focusing on skills development and hockey concepts during the first half of the season before introducing age-appropriate half-ice games during the second half of the season so players are prepared to play on a competitive team in 2019-20.
Program features: 2 weekly practices Saturday and Sunday mornings and regular skills sessions; half-ice games January-March; game jersey, practice jersey and socks
Tuition: $1199

2019 - 2020 Mite Development Program Registration

8U (Mite) Development Program (2011-2013 birth years; no tryout required)
The first step for players who have completed an instructional hockey program typically is the in-house U8 Development Program, meant for players not competing on U8 travel teams. Players will be evaluated during October practices and then divided into balanced teams before games begin in late October. These teams will compete in our in-house half-ice league Saturday afternoons at Norfolk Arena, which also includes teams from surrounding programs.
Program features: 22 half-ice games and 2 weekly practices from October-March; game jersey and socks

Currently their is no cost to register.  Cost will be added when tuition is set by KPW board.

2019-2020 Instructional Registration

Instructional Hockey Program (players born between 2008–2014; no tryout required)
The KPW instructional hockey program has been introducing new players to the sport for more than 30 years using the principles of the USA Hockey American Development Model, which focuses on skills development and age-appropriate instruction.
This program is meant for boys and girls born between 2008-2014 who have some skating experience and now are ready to learn hockey and skating skills. The program ensures new players have fun while developing their hockey skills, and we introduce age-appropriate half-ice games near the end of the season to help put the skills they learn into action. Players are required to wear full hockey equipment and have a stick, and will be grouped with comparably skilled players to build their confidence and hockey ability.
Program features: 2 weekly practices Saturday and Sunday mornings from October-March; jersey and socks
