King Philip Walpole Youth Hockey is a non-profit USA Hockey-registered community hockey organization for boys and girls from Norfolk, Plainville, Walpole and Wrentham, with a tradition dating back more than 40 years.

Q: Why do I have to do this? I've never had to do this before.
A: Until recently, this process has been transparent to the KPWYH players and membership community. The registration process with USA Hockey and Mass Hockey was done directly between the KPWYH Registrar and USA/Mass Hockey representatives. Starting in 2009, Mass Hockey District 3 has made this a requirement for all programs. District 3 programs will not be allowed to submit player rosters for approval if we do not comply with on-line registration. It is non-negotiable. Q: What happens if I don't do this?
A: Failure to comply will result in the player or coach not being allowed on the Ice for their first practice and until the registration is complete. This is considered a requirement to play hockey in the KPWYH program.
Q: When is this due?
A: The KPWYH Deadline for completion is August 31, 2011, or prior to your first on ice event. However, we encourage you to complete this process as soon as possible, as we have almost 500 individual memberships to process. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Q: What are the fees associated with this?
A: The fees are as follows:
USA Hockey Fees: $30 registration fee for players and coaches (Fees are
waived for players 6 yrs old or younger as of 1/1/2009).
Mass Hockey Fees: $5 registration fee for players. $0 for coaches Q: I am unable to pay via Credit Card. What do I do?
A: You may use any bank issued Debit Card to complete your registration. KPWYH cannot
complete this process for you, and will not accept any personal checks or Money Orders. Q: Do I have to pay fees separately to Mass Hockey in addition to USA Hockey?
A: No. Your Mass Hockey Registration Fees are your “Affiliate Fees”, and are
included in your registration totals when you complete the on-line registration. Q: USA Hockey does not collect fees for Children 6 yrs old or younger. Do I still need
to register if my child is only 6 yrs old?
A: YES. The On-Line Registration process will calculate the amount due based on your child’s birth date. If your child is 6 or under, you will not be charged a fee. However, you must still register. Q: Do I have to do this for all of my children separately; regardless of their age and
level they play?
A: Yes. ALL players and Coaches must complete this process, and must send separate
confirmation pages to the Program Registrar for each player registered. Q: Do Coaches need to register also?
A: Yes. Coaches are required to register separately, and incur the $30 registration fee. All
coaches have the opportunity to request reimbursement for their registration fees. Please email the Program Registrar if you are interested in a refund, and we will process your request. A reimbursement check will be issued to your address on-file with the program. Should you choose to make this a tax-deductible donation to the KPWYH program, a receipt can be provided upon request, and we thank you for your generosity.

Q: Whom do I send my confirmation to when I'm done?
A: Please refer to STEP 4 of the instruction manual, and Email your confirmation page to the Head Coach of the team the player or coach is affiliated with.
Q: Can I pay once for all my children?
A: Yes. Please refer to the instructions for details. The on-line registration allows this
functionality.
Q: Can I register a Player AND a Coach in the same transaction?
A: Yes. Please see the instructions for details. The on-line registration allows this
functionality. Q: What if I don’t receive my confirmation email page after I complete the process?
A: Please refer to STEP 5 of the Instructions for how to request a new email be sent to you
once you complete the registration process. Q: I do not have access to a computer. What do I do?
A: Your local library can grant you access to the Internet to complete this process. Other
recommendations are to reach out to neighbors, friends, or family members who have access to a computer.
