The King Philip Walpole Youth Hockey Association is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization. KPWYH tuition is calculated to ensure the organization is able to cover all the real and projected costs of operating its programs. Tuition includes but may not be limited to: game ice, practice ice, skills and goaltending clinics, league fees, uniforms and equipment, awards, and administration.
Financial questions or requests must be made in writing to the Treasurer. Immediately upon receipt, such requests will be reviewed by the Treasurer and/or Finance Committee. The results of any review or investigation will be presented to the Board of Directors for resolution.
OUTSTANDING BALANCES
Any outstanding balance owed to KPWYH by a family must be paid in full before any child from that family may be registered in any KPWYH program. The KPWYH Treasurer is the sole arbiter of any and all amounts owed to the KPWYH Association.
TRYOUT FEE
*There is a MANDATORY, NON-REFUNDABLE $50 tryout fee per player, payable at the time of tryout registration.*
Players will not be permitted to participate in tryouts unless they have registered in advance and the tryout fee has been paid in full. Players who later decide not to participate in a KPWYH program WILL FORFEIT THEIR TRYOUT FEE. The tryout fee may not be applied toward a player’s registration/tuition or used for a sibling or another player.
Exception: Players unable to participate in tryouts because of approved medical reasons may request a refund or credit, to be given at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors. The Board may request a doctor’s note for verification.
TUITION
*PLAYERS WILL NOT BE PLACED ON A TEAM UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN REGISTERED FOR THE 2022-2023 SEASON AND THE INITIAL DEPOSIT HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL.*
KPWYH does not issue invoices. Guardians are responsible for knowing the total amount due for their children and for ensuring payment(s) are made on time and in full. Please refer to the tuition table on the KPWYH website and in the Financial Contract for tuition charges and due dates by program. Payments may be made via credit card on the KPWYH website. At the time of registration, tuition may be paid in full or families may opt to participate in an installment plan, through which payments will automatically be charged in two or three installments, depending on the participant’s program, to a credit card on file. Tuition for Instructional and 18U Full Season Travel programs do not qualify for the installment plan and must be paid in full upon registration.
